Well, Theodore and I took our flight from Houston to Virginia yesterday.

It went pretty well, all things concidered. I flew through Delta, and I didn't really encounter too many problems. I had a layover in Atlanta, and when I went to board my SECOND flight, they gave me a bit of a hard time with him, but since I had a previous flight they let me board. Weird...

Theodore did end up throwing up at the end of the night (we didn't make it into Dulles until 11:30), so that kind of scared me, but I've been keeping a close watch on him all day and he seems okay. He looks fine (is still pretty huffy, but he's in a new place with new smells and such so...) and is eating and pooping normally... I'm still kinda anxious about that.

On the way from Atlanta to Dulles everyone on the plane asked about him, even the co-pilot and pilot! That was pretty dang cool! :)

I'm just glad to be home with my baby Theodore and the love of my life JD. Tired, but so very happy. :hearts:

You are so brave to tackle the plane with your baby!! I would probably pass out from paranoia. I am guessing you were able to hold his cage, or did they make you put him where they put dogs and such?

Awww great! That sounds like quite the trip. I seriously didn't know that hedgehogs could throw up until I brought my second one home. I guess some hedgies get motion sickness.
Delta huh? I will have to keep that in mind.... maybe the next time my family takes a trip to the Midwest I will have to bring a hedgie home with me.

Yes, they let him stay in the cabin with me. He counted as my carry-on. I wasn't supposed to open the carrier or anything while in flight, but I did anyway to check on him. I was very paranoid! XD

Delta was the only airline I could find that would allow hedgehogs. They gave us a bit of a hard time when we were buying the ticket and a tad in Atlanta, but it wasn't too bad. I just had to pay a $50 pet deposit and since he weighs less than a pound I was able to carry him in a soft carrier.

Haha! I figured that's what you meant Billy. It was pretty cool. Gives me a chance to show him off. ;)

And thank you all!

Congrats that everything worked out so well. Oh, except the air sickness thing. Blech! Poor Theo. I think it's cool everyone wanted to know about him too. You never know who may end up becoming some special hedgie's mom or dad because of this. :D Hedgie hugs...Tiffany
