Okay, we still have issues going on here.

Cuddles at this time is the only one who is not showing signs of any problems.

Snuggles has a low grade UTI, ear infections that are 90% cleared up, dry skin and runs until her feet bleed. We are using microfoam tape in her wheel for her feet and that seems to be helping. :)

I read somewhere about an urinary health diet or something like that. Do you think I should ask the vet about this for Snuggles? She had rods and pus show up in her urine test.

Huggles has very raw and peeling skin. She was brought into the vet and tested for mites that was negative. She has dermatitis, which I have to apply Otomax ointment to the affected areas twice a day for seven days. She is one cranky hedgie to say the least and not cooperating with the treatment plan at all.

I use oatmeal soap on them and oatmeal in their bath water to help their skin. We have a humidifier in their room also. Does anyone have suggestions for any of the above.

Our Kei had a low grade UTI in the summer and it did not show up on any of the tests. She was on both clavamox and baytril and it didn't respond to either of those. We ended up having her spayed thinking perhaps it was uterine and rather than spend hundreds in more tests we went for the spay. She continued to bleed afterward. She had 1 can of Hills SD cat food and the bleeding quit and has not returned. The urinary health diet makes changes the PH of their urine and make is less hospitable for the bacteria. I now give them all some urinary health kibble in their mix. :)

Ugh. Pus doesn't sound good. I can't offer any specific help but I will keep my fingers crossed for you and your hedgie crew!

Snuggles is on Hills C/D for her crystals in the bladder. She likes the food and eats it all up. We are also pushing water. Her UTI is cleared up and there is just a few crystals in the bladder.

Huggles we used oatmeal milk bath and a product called "Relief" and her skin is looking great. She totally did not like the Otomax ointment, she tried biting me every time it was applied. We also noticed a lot of broken quills during this time on Huggles. There is no pattern to the broken quills they are all over the place.
