When you want to bring a thread back up to the top of the "list, you "bump" it. Alot of people will do this for classified ads etc :)

Don't worry, I didn't know for the longest time either. It's helpful. Like say you post a question 3 days ago and noone responded yet because there are so many other threads to look at before yours. Just "bump" it up there, that way your question will get a better chance of being seen. It's cool, I'm glad this forum has it!

That's so funny that you asked. It took me a while to figure it out, but it never accured to me to just ask!

But remember...you can only "bump" once in a 24 hour period!
10. In the event that a classified thread starter feels it necessary to add a "bump" post to the thread (to bring it back up in the forum listing), said posts are limited to one every 24-48 hours. Excessive bump posts or posts made in contravention to this rule, will be removed and the poster issued with a warning
You can find all this info in the "New Rules and Regulations" at the top of you home page under FAQs.:)
Actually..it is at the top of any page..lol

But a "bump" is used for classifieds, not general threads.
