Cage size???

This may be a really stupid ques. but I was wondering for a hedgies cage what is ideal? I know for our beardie that she couldn't be in too small a tank or too big a tank or it wouldn't allow her to grow to her full potential. What does everybody have for a size, dimensions or better yet post lots of pics. :)

I can't wait for my hedgie, don't know where I'm getting him but I can't wait!!!

A lot of owners on the board recommend a cage no smaller than 2 square feet, although bigger is always better.

My girl currently calls a big 8 foot square cage her home. To be honest, the bigger the cage, the easier I find it is to clean.

This is Bandits home. It's 47'' long - 23'' wide and really tall! lol

And Bandit has enough room for this :hyper: and :banana: and :bananadance: and :smiliedance: and this :spin: in it! lol he loves it and runs up a storm! It's a Hedgie Gym! :p

You know I'm really liking that cage the more I see it! I have no problem with space so that's fine. I like how big, and where the door is. Looks perfect I just have to get my pet-store to order, they are pretty good about that and I get 10% off cause I'm a student! :) Don't charge me any extra to order either, they are a mom&pop store. I think the chains don't give a care sometimes. Anyway then I have to get toys and that will be fun too!

I would say that 36x18 would be a minimum. 2 square feet is ridiculously small- not even big enough to put a wheel and a hidey house in.

mine is a 42"x42" square; tons of room. wolfgang likes to run around in circles along the perimeter, which is amazingly funny to watch.

Yah Tails.. I love this cage. There is also a large door on top which makes easy for cleaning!!! :)
