Hello all, my name is Jean Marie and my chinchillas were born on January 1st. These are our first and we will be bringing them home sometime mid-March. Our chins are 2 girls, Coco and Puff. My 4 year old son Parker named them already:) They are beautiful sisters, one is Hetero Ebony and the other is Ebony White. We are really excited and have been busy getting everything set up for them to make sure we have everything they need and that everything is safe for them. Since before we contacted the breeder I have been reading everything on chinchillas that I can find in books,threads on the forums and information on the internet. I know there is still so much I don't know so I am really glad I found this valuable resource. I'll definitely post pics when I can. I'm sure I will have many questions that I hope you won't mind answering for me when we actually have them here. Wish us luck! Thank you!

Welcome to the forum. I love the names Coco and Puff, what great names. I can't wait to see pictures as soon as you get your new babies. You'll find out that most people here love to answer questions.

how appropriate... sisters, and your boy named them coco and puff.. too cute..
you are on the right track, just browsing the forums out there offer's a wealth of info.... i know you can't wait for your bundles of joy.. and we can't wait to see pictures!!~~ ahem..

Hi Jean Marie!!!
I'm new as well and I find something new and valuable everytime I log on to this site (which is very frequent-I might add!!!!)

I just got my male baby a week and a half ago and am looking forward to adding a baby girl mosaic to my clan next weekend!!!

Enjoy and we look forward to pictures the second you get them!!!! lol

I have already learned so much from reading these threads! I love it! Congratulations on your new addition and best of luck with the second one. Have you had any unexpected surprises or wished that you did anything differently now that you have your new chin?
