View Full Version : Hello Everybody!
Hi everyone! My name is Kari, and I got my first chinchilla, Chinta 3 weeks ago. She is still sort of a baby (5 months), and I got her from Petsmart. :scared: I know, I know, probably not the best decision, but I did take her to a very good exotic vet, and he looked her over thoroughly and said she's in great shape. He also suggested that I get another to keep her company, so today I went and picked up my second (a 3 1/2 year old pink-white female named Snow) from a semi-local breeder. Snow lost a back leg in a cage injury a few months ago and is pretty shy but doing great. We are all very excited to be a part of this forum, and ANYONE who can offer advice is more than welcome to give it. I look forward to talking to many of you!

:) Congratulations! I'm jealous, we're getting our chins in March and we can't wait! This forum has a wealth of information for you and you should read all of the threads you can - I have read three books (highly recommend Joy of Chinchillas available at Chinworld if you haven't read already) and I have learned a hundred times more info from "lurking" around here than in all of them combined!! :) I wish you all the best of luck...
