New Hoglets!

Yay! I though last night that she be close and I was right! Emma gave birth today to a large healthy litter! I am still a bit unsure of numbers (didn't want to bother Em too much). I was hoping for some pintos and I think my wish has been granted! I saw one baby crawling around the entrance and before Emma could pull it away I saw that it had dark skin on the upper half and light on the lower.

Sorry if I am babbling a bit I am just really really happy! :lol: I will be sure to post pictures as soon as Emma will let me!

Congradulations! I cannot wait for the pictures. That is interesting about the pigment on the skin. I was wondering how breeders tell what color a hoglet might be.

Today while Emma was out of the igloo eating I got a pretty good look of the babies (through the igloo door of course). I am pretty sure its a litter of four! There were five but one little one didn't make it, I have to remove the body from Emma's cage today. I was pretty shocked for five hoglets though! Last litter Emma only had three and I thought they pretty much had the same number of hoglets in each litter.
Anyway last night they were making a quite a fuss everytime Emma went out to get a bit to drink or eat. For things so small they are sure loud!
