Hi my name is Kayla.. I'm a Hedgie-aholic! :rofl:

I find myself wanting more and more.. along with my Chinchillas. These two animals are like the more addictive animals in the world I belive.

When I have a day off I'm at home wishing they were awake. I find myself staying up later just to play with them. I find myself browsing the classifieds hopeing one or more of either animal becomes available and at the right time when I have some extra cash. I find myself even if I don't have extra cash, giving up something else just to bring home a treat or a toy or a new anything for them.

It's a disease.. I swear!!! :rofl: :laugh:

I'm going to have to say you do catch it from other people because of all the things they post: pictures, stories. Well next month I'm getting my last 2 chins for a bit and that will make 8!!!

The thing is my fiance and considered a hedgehog before a chin but didn't have the money for one. See the pet-store charged $250 for one. Isn't that ridiculous considering how unhealthy they look, and plus you guys charge way less! Anyway that was before we clued in about breeders, where we get all our chins from now.

So now these past few months I've brought up hedgies again because Aaron said after I got my second chin I couldn't have a hedgie too. But now these past few months he's decided, after me showing him the hedgie part of this site, that he wants one. He is helping me this weekend build something for our future hedgehog. So that's my story.

P.S.- I feel it is quite detrimental to the well-being of members animal addiction to have chins and hedgies on the same site, as they call out for you to buy them. ;)

After meeting EricaLynn and her chin Tecwyn I have become addicted!!! For about a month (when I didn't know about this site) I have been saving all the change I ever get and am now up to $31.84. I've have now decided that all that money will eventually go to a chin (which I can't get untill I move out of my grandparents house). I'm 16, so I have a lot of time to save up. :winkgrin: I'm so being chin deprived.....

Anyway, my brother was going to get a hedgie before I ever even thought about it. I started looking things up on the internet and just went crazy! I don't know how many sites I put into my favorites. He backed out and decided that he wanted his money for something else and I jumped on board with the hedgie idea. So now after about a month I have my hedgie, Snowball, and am wanting a chin so bad... Especially ever since I saw Erica's Tecwyn dust bath video! So yes, I agree it is a disease and can be passed on from other people on here. :winkgrin:

He thinks 3 Chinnies, 1 Hedgie, 1 Beardie and a Dog is enough. Meh! I'm the one who does all the work taking care of them so I figure I should be able to choose, since he doesn't take care of them!!!! :) :rofl:

Oh, I'm positive I've caught this disease too. I've also infected my mom and my boyfriend. I only have one hedgehog so far, and if dad didn't have such a problem with my "rodent", I'm sure mom would let me bring home a couple more, since she thinks Hemi is just the cutest thing ever. As for the boyfriend...he compromised with me. If he gets his hockey room/bar, I get as many hedgehogs as I can care for. He's willing to put the hockey bar thing downstairs though...so it's all good. Guess that's why I love him so much.

LOL, for the record, I'm carefully avoiding treatment of this disease...for now. In a couple years, I'll cure it the only way possible...with more hedgehogs!
