Is it all right to give deli turkey to a hedgehog? I haven't done it yet I was just curious as to wether or not that could be a "healthy" treat, given in moderation, of course.

Turkey is fine. You should see all the things everyone gives their hedgies over Thanksgiving! ;)

I've given Razzle a bit of deli turkey (plain - not honey roasted). I'm sure it's fine in small amounts.
I have to laugh though: one night my boyfriend was eating something - either hot dogs or bratwurst - and he asked if he could give a piece to Razzle. I said NO WAY did I want my baby to eat that crap. He kind of looked at me sad and said, "Oh, but it's ok for ME to eat it??"

As long as it isnt processed. Things like that tend to contain alot of sodium.

Just to add to what Laura said, IF the turkey is plain roast turkey breast and with no added sodium or seasonings, then it's fine. If it's smoked, flavored, sodium enhanced, turkey roll or otherwise processed, then no, it's not healthy.

I highly recommend against feeding your hedgehog any type of meat in their cage. Left over meat is a haven for bacteria and a good way for a hedgehog to get salmonella.
