Buying a Hedgie

I live in Ga (which is an illegal state for hedge hogs). Does anyone know who to write in order to complain and legalize Hedgehogs?

Also, if someone knows the correct rationale for legalizing these cuties
other than "being cute" I would appreciate!!!!

I would start with the game commission or wild life department to find out exactly why hedgehogs are illegal. Then go from there. I do know that it is an up hill battle once an animal is declared illegal, but anything worth having is worth trying for....

Actually, according to most sources, hedgehogs are only illegal as pets in GA. If you wish to become a breeding operation and send all your babies out of state, then they are perfectly happy to have you breed hedgehogs.

that seems so odd, why only allow breeding operations and not having has pets? you think they would prefer having as pets instead of breeding because as only pets there are not as many hogs there period. or am i just crazy?? :p
