Who is watching it? Do you have a fun night planned with friends to watch it? :) I can't wait to see it! :hyper:

I'm planning to watch it - I'm the only one in my family who cares anything about award shows, so I'll probably watch it by myself. I don't know if my friends would have any interest in coming over to watch it with me.. I'd be more apt to have an Oscar party than a Superbowl Party though. I think Jon Stewart will be a great host. I'd really like to see Ellen host the Oscars sometime soon.

Did you enjoy it tonight? I'm glad that Crash won the best movie, it was a good movie. :)

Yes, I thought Jon Stewart was a great host. I loved Steve Carell's makeup.
I was thrillled Reese won, I would've been happy if she or Keira won. I wanted Joaquin to get Best Actor, but I knew from websites/talkshows/magazines that Phillip Seymour Hoffman was most likely to.
I'm disappointed Batman Begins was only nominated for Best Cinematography -- and that it didn't win. It's probably my favorite movie of 2005, and I would've nominated Christian Bale for Best Actor.
I haven't seen most of the nominated movies yet, though I've seen Tim Burton's Corpse Bride. I've been wanting to see Walk The Line, Good Night, and Good Luck., Memoirs of a Geisha and Junebug look interesting too.

I enjoyed it!
But I was disappointed in the Best Picture winner. I have seen Crash, and yes, it is a good movie. But in my opinion, I thought that Brokeback Mountain should have won that award, hands down. Oh well. Reese getting that award was COMPLETELY deserving!! I was so happy to see that. I love her and she was AMAZING in Walk The Line, and the fact that Joaquin Phoenix didn't win is surprising! I've never seen an actor portray a person soooooo well in any movie about a real life person!!
Overall though, it was good. Except for Ben Stiller...I didn't laugh at all at his green screen stint.
And I loved Jon Stewart's hosting!!! :applause:

I still haven't seen Walk the Line..maybe I will rent it tonight.
I don't really care about the oscars now that LOTR is over with. *sniff* Oh well. At least it won 11 awards! ;) Ha ha.
