Hi everyone,
I guess I should've introduced myself here first before going straight to the forums and posting questions. How rude of me! Well, my name is Sumiko and I'm from California. In high school I was heavily involved in FFA and raised beef cattle, sheep and turkeys (along with my dogs and koi) but now that I'm in college, I'd like to start hobby breeding chinchillas. For the past five/six months, I've been researching as much as I can about breeding, raising kits, chin genetics, and general care. I currently have just one chin, my female mosaic, Gizmo but am looking for breeders in my area with some nice breeding-quality chins. I've read through quite a few of the threads on this site and will definitely be posting if I have questions or would like opinions. I'm already pulled into Midwestexotic's story of her pregnancy and am also now waiting for her to have that baby, lol. Ok, well I think I've written enough, haha. Nice to meet you all!

By the way, I'm interested in chin shows/events in California. Anyone know of any coming up?
