There is a place in Montclair its to the right of the Montclair plaza, called All Creatures and Dr. Roxanne Batt specializes in small furries. They take chinchillas. I haven't taken chia there yet but maybe if you need one she might be good.

Yep, they wouldn't tell us where he moved...I had to go to a petco and get the information from them.
He left Yorba because the vet that owns the place promised a partnership about two years ago and kept putting off making Greek a partner. He told Greek to wait until after they moved from the two offices to one. So Greek waited a couple months after they moved allowing the other vet time to settle everything into the new office adn hire new staff then he approached him again. This time the vet said he didn't want to do the partnership anymore but Greek could have first chance to buy the office from him when he retired. Also Greek's regulars were complaining about the poor service the receptionists were giving them and his two awesome vet techs wanted to move. That's just the shortened version of the whole thing but if you ask Greek he's more than willing to tell you the whole thing. The other vet also put up a message on all the receptionists computers the day Greek was supposed to go back for his records saying not to let Greek near his files and not to tell anyone he'd moved. Just put their appointments to another vet. So they parted on a not so nice note and Yorba will not tell you where he went or that he's gone unless you ask.
His new office is really nice though and he can actually take the time to just sit and chat with you now that his office is smaller and much more personal. He's the best vet in So Cali for chins though and he has the most experience. I've been to several and they aren't nearly as good as he is.

Thanks so much for tracking him down! I haven't yet had to go to a vet, but it's comforting to know one's right in the area.
Do any of you happen to know the exact address of his new office?

And yeah Debbie I keep telling her! Everytime I tell her she gets all excited again and wants to run over and congratulate you, lol. And I agree that Greek is the easiest vet to talk to. I take ALL of my animals over there and he does great work with all of them especially the chins. I give everyone his info too, lol. I even snatched a bunch of his cards on my alst visit I think I have different cards from all the offices he's been to so far, lol.

hi,
i live in Sherman Oaks.
There is an animal hospital in Studio City where I took my chins before.
info:
Studio City animal hospital
11800 Ventura blvd
CA 91604
818 769 1338
There are a few vets there, and I had to deal with 3 of them.Did not like the first 2.
Even though the first lady vet was very sweet (Dr Swindall), I knew more about chins then she did.She had to look things up in her book!!! Then I dealt with the owner, Dr pitts, whom I hated. He was an old guy who didn't listen to anything I said and never solved the problem.
Then I finally dealt with Dr John Flanagan who seemed to know a whole lot more, and took care of things straight away.
My chin was very hard to diagnose though, BUT he ran tests (x-rays, blood test , poop analisis, etc....) I would highly recommend him.
The staff there is very very nice as well.
I have since last year made a friend (on this forum!!) who lives in Woodland hills, and she has had major problems with her chin.He has malloclusion.
She has dealt with a few vets, but it seems her favorite is Dr Linda Knox, from the :
Chatsworth Veterinary Center
21418 Devonshire street
Chatsworth
CA 91311
818 341 7770
That Dr Knox is also highly recommended by a rescue here in the valley called bunnyluv (www.bunnyluv.com) where I started voluntering.
Of course they recommend her for bunnies, but my friend with the chin seems to stick with her.
What I can tell you about my experience at studio city is that they do deal with all exotics, so they have everything they need at their facilities, x-rays, surgery, etc.
I hope this helps.
Have you found a vet since you guys posted this link?
I'm always curious.
