View Full Version : Hello
Hello. I had a chin for 4 years. He was a rescue chin from an abandoned fur farm. He passed away in my arms this week because of a blockage at age 6. I miss him terribly. We have adopted a 3mos. old male and rescued a 9 week old female. We have them in one cage divided so they can talk and hang out but not get too up close and personal :) In the 4 years I had my first chin, he never barked once at us. He honked many times to alert the herd (2 guinea pigs in a nearby cage?? :) ) - other than that he was a very quiet and shy boy. It is very different to hear our littles babies bark when they don't want to be handled. Nice to meet you all. I miss how my boy would kick off the walls and doors when he was playing.

Sorry to hear about your loss but I think it's great that you took in some more chins to give a loving home to. I'm sure your new babies will get used to you in time and will be bouncing off the walls as well! Good luck, enjoy the wealth of info. on this forum, I have! :)

Hello and welcome!
I'm sorry to hear about your loss. Did you happen to find out what caused the blockage?
I'm sure your new babies will bring you much joy, and we all like to see pictures :)

Welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear of your loss. Hopefully, you were able to find out what caused it and have eliminated whatever it is. Congratulations on your new babies...new chinnies always makes you feel good. Enjoy!
Thank you for the kind welcomes. We consulted a second vet - a new vet for our newly adopted chins. We have decided to continue our new chinnies care through him. We had both given a health exam and eye drops prescribed for a bacteria infection in our girl Peanut's one eye.
