Do Mazuri pellets cause loose stool- yes or no?
(let the debates begin! :))
Anyone who's actually had experience with this issue is encouraged to post their insights, especially.

I fed Mazuri for about 4 years, and didn't have any problems with it... Chins seemed fine, were healthy , etc.. I have heard of it causing problems with some animals, but never had a problem here.

I've fed it, no problems.
Of course, I carefully monitor the mill date and only feed it so many months afterwards to ensure that my animals aren't getting stale food or a pellet that has lost it's important nutrients.

I've fed it to all of my chinnies for well over a year and have seen nothing but happier, healthier chins come of it. Really any food can cause this, though...just depends on the chinnie. :-)

i use masuri, and my guy is just three months- he's been raised on it. he had some squishies for a few days, but I'm still feeding mazuri and with a little treatment, that cleared up, and I'm fine, now, too. :)

I had a few problems with loose stools when I was using Mazuri, but it didn't happen all that often. Overall I was very happy with Mazuri, and my chins were very healthy on it, but now I use another feed.
I've never had any problems with Mazuri thus far. Clarice is happy and healthy.

I used to feed Mazuri and still reccomend it to people who have only a few chins that are not breeding (you can get it in smaller quanities). I never had a soft poo problem and all the chins seemed to like the Mazuri. I switched to traditions mainly because i can get it in larger bags for less. I had always thought that they were about the same quality (the Mazuri and Traditions) But I have noticed my chins did gain weight and my babies have had higher birth weights and i have had less milk production problems since switching. Also i noticed that the Traditions has a better fresher smell. You should see all the chins run to the front of the cage when i open a new bag. lol

I have been using Mazuri for about 7 or 8 years and never had any problems. I always feed loose hay, too. Maybe the loose stools are from not enough hay, not necessarily the Mazuri?
