Hello :wavey: and :welcome10: to CnQ!!!!!
Wow that a really cool cage, is it split in half (like one chin on one side and the other chin on the other side) or just one hole thing? How long did it take him? We would love to see pic of your chin! Enjoy the site.

Welcome to the forum. Very cute chins. How nice to have a handy hubby. I can't even get mine to change a light bulb. I can't even imagine what a cage would look like if he tried to build it. I take it you are planning on breeding, since I don't see a divider in the cage. I would suggest reading every thing you can. There just seems to be so much involved in it. Hopefully introductions will go well for you after the quarantine period is up. I was wondering what the cage is made out of...is it kiln dried pine sheets (which I have never been able to find around here) or some type of plywood? I ask because plywood is toxic, hence everyone makes their cages out of melamine. I also wonder about the linoleum on the bottom. I would worry about the chins chewing on it. It would definitely be toxic (with the glue) and could lead to impaction. My chins would completely destroy the igloo, the hay spinner, and the water bottle on the inside of the cage. None of them would last more than a few minutes around any of mine, but then some of mine are little maniacs.

The cage is made out of Pine so are the shelfs. No breeding. Clyde is fixed. My chins are not crazy. they do not chew much... They do chew though. Clyde has had that igloo for 4 years and no probelms. If I saw a problem i would get it out.

Welcome, welcome! You'll enjoy it here. :)
Have to ask- did you get your chinnies from breeders with pedigrees? Just asking, since you're going to be doing the breeding thing and all, and breeding pet store chins is a no-no. :p
