I'm so angry I got to let it all.

Yesterday, my boyfriend chatted with our breeder and he talked about Litchi's first vet visit, and doing great and she told him what happend to her recently.

One day, she get out of her appartment to get the papers (she doesn't work now because she's got knees problem) and guess what she found...a shoe box on her porch. There was a hedgie she sold to someone back in december with only water (let me remind you that it's kinda cold right now in the Montreal area).

The owner e-mailed her to tell she/he tought taking care of him was too much time consuming and she was giving it back to her. The little guy was there for 15 minute went she found him, he was too thing and was feed on science diet (beurk). Our breeder was so distressed by this, that's the first time it happend to her. She will keep the little guy and it will be an other reproductive male.

At least she was happy we cave her good news from our little Litchi. I can't beleive some people are so hart-less to do this and now even have the courrage to ring and give it to her...

That is just awful!!! I'm so glad she found him pretty quickly though. That is so sad that he was just left out in the cold like that. I don't know what those people were thinking. All I can say is THANK GOD they returned that little hedgie to someone that will properly take care of him because obviously those people had no clue!

omg! what is wrong with people???
and seriously... they arent that time consuming!!!
I always have time for Lily, and even Kazz!!!

and i have to agree with Deb that at least the very minimal they returned it to the breeder. THEY COULD HAVE KNOCKED ON THE DOOR OR SOMETHING to let her know sooner that the lil guy was there!

Oh my god! Some people are just terrible and obviously only think of, and have time for themselves. A hedgehog isn't hard to care for at all! And ya know the person could of at least called the breeder and told her before or knocked on the door like Keeja said. Really what were they thinking the poor thing could have died because I know how cold Montreal is. How can someone just leave an animal to fend for themselves, especially an exotic who can't. :(

This urks me do your research before you get the pet- if it sounds like too much then don't get it. And even if a person decides later it isn't for them then sell it; don't throw it away by tossing it in a box on a doorstep like it isn't a breathing animal. How could someone do that? What if he wasn't found, does this person have no conscious?

Obviously this person has not a care in the world leaving an email because they couldn't take the time to call.

I can kinda understand how they might need to give up an animal due to family problems, job, exc... but the least they could do was care a little. they could have called the breeder or talked to her in person. Thats just cruel to leave an animal in the cold. What if the breeder wasn't home or didnt check her porch?
