I have not found much on the web about illnesses that hedgehogs can give to people, bugs, or anything, but about a month after I got my hedgehog I started to get weird bites while I am sleeping. I am not sure it has anything to do with Daisy, but want to be sure so I have set a vet appointment, but thought someone might have ideas. Can anyone think of what the cause might be? Thanks in advance for the help. :high5:

Do you have other pets? It sounds like you may have a flea infestation.
My brother went through that once with his college apartment. They didn't have any pets; I think they were there when they moved in.

Maybe bedbugs? We wash our sheets in hot water to avoid this

OK. Got an answer. I had gone to the doctor, and told her I thought it was a spider bite. She thought maybe it was related to the hedgehog instead. When I got the new bite, I went to another doctor. He agreed they are spider bites. Don't know why they like me but they do. I am taking evasive action immediately! Thanks for the help though!

I think youd know pretty fast if it was a brown recluse bite- those things are hardcore- it would be hard not to notice the giant ulcers in your skin that result from them!
