I have seen several posts about Pine from Home Depot or Lowes being ok for chins, I assume what HD has listed as White Pine is the same as what people refer to as Pine? If not please correct me before I go buy some. I recall someone telling me a few years ago it was ok, just want to make sure I don't have anything messed up. Only want the best for my boys! :)

As long as it's Kiln Dried Pine I think it is safe. Someone on here pointed out that the ends of the boards have codes on them and "KD" stands for Kiln Dried. I now make sure that any of the boards I buy have the KD stamp on them:)

I got mine at home depot and asked for the white. I think it's the same thing.

You need to make sure it is kiln dried as stated above. Also, some is treated and some isn't. You want untreated.

yeah, white pine is fine. But by the way, does home depot carry kiln dried pine at all?

I asked my dealer about pine bedding when I first started getting it from him, and he said as long as the bedding is dry when you get it, it's kiln dried. Mine doesn't say it on the bag, but I know it is safe (dave woods uses the same kind as I do, and I asked him).
