Snow Day!

oK, So last night we got a "sever winter storm warning" saying we would get 7-10 in. of snow. Yesterday I was wearing a sweatshirt bringing my puppies for a walk in the clear sunny non-snowed-upon off-leash-park. A couple of people and me were talking about it as if the weather guys were loony or something, hehe.
So anyways, I wake up this morning, dont bother looking out the window, get dressed and everything at 6:00 like normal go downstairs and what do I see through my back sliding glass door? WHITE. thats all besides Denver and Domino (Puppies) playing out in the snow. :eek: Our school NEVER shuts down (Ok, one time when all the schools had a poweroutage but thats it!) and this is like, WHOA! So my brother is about to leave for school *I leave an 1/2 hour later then him* And Im like, lets check if schools out, maybe they wont be dumb and see that there is reason to shut down.... GUESS WHAT!!! they shut down!!! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!!!! Im so excited! woooohoooo, rofl.

Nontheless, my dad had to go into work early because his co worker got in an accident ( :( ) and yeah..... shes ok though...... My dad called and said its a good thing we are canceled because it was REALLY slippery out and you could hardly see 2 cars ahead of you.

Thank you mother nature for giving us this snowstorm... I just hope it melts before next week.... I dont really feel like having spring break in snow....

Haha! Same here! We dont ever close! We were 2 hours late this morning and i was like bah, tell me if we close im going back to bed and my sister came in 5 minutes later and was like schools closed, i was like YEAHE! lol. I had a whole weeks worth of homework to do, and i did most last night but by 12:00 I was too tired to finish, but now i can finish it up today woohoo lol. i just looked outside an the snow is lmoast up to my dogs belly and i ahve a full grown black lab. lmao lol tooo fnny lol

I was happy until about a half hour ago, thats when my dad came barging into the house and told me to get out of bed(i was taking a nap) he got his car stuck at the end of the drive way...Simple enough right? We have 2 trucks, it shouldnt be a problem to get it out!! (My dad has a grand prix se so its real low to the ground and I can see why it would get stuck, we have like 2 feet of snow out here and its hEAVY SNOW! ) anwyays, went touside, the car is stuck, i got in, and started pushing the gas while he tried to push it out with the truck....He starts screaming at me! Hes screaming and screaming and screaming about everything and about everyone! I just ignored it because I knew hes just upset. Guess what? the one truck has a flat tire, that ones out, and then while trying to push the car out, the clutch went out of the second truck, so the truck is sitting at the end of the driveway broke, and won't go anywhere!! We say f*** it and we just focus on the car, I get all the snow away from the tires, and i get down on the ground and dig some of the snow out from under the car, and he gets in, and it rocks just a bout a 1/4 of an inch each way, which for my dad is MORE than enough to get going, so what do I do? I GET BEHIND THE CAR AND PUSH!!!!! As if my back isn't bad enough already, here I am pushing this car, thats STUCK in 2 feet of snow!!! But thats much better than listening to him in the car lol. So I push, and it goes a lil, he backs up, and i push again when he goes forward.....YAY!! the car is free!!!! He gets the car out, but the truck is still at the bottom of the drive way broken and it wont go anywhere. He decides hes going to go and get the other truck......I'm still waiting...If you don't hear from me within the next 2 days, assume me either backed over, and dead.......I want blue roses at my funeral! lol

I'm on a snow day too :) You know sometimes weather can drive me nuts. It was like 50degrees this weekend and now we have a foot of snow!

Foot I think we got like 2 feet and its STILL SNOWING!!!! My dad just came back with the plow truck, and plowed our driveway out, but it was not an easy feat. He hit just about every structure possible in the process(my car, the other truck, the house, lol ) none are damaged too badly except the other truck, but lord was it scary to see!

um, last time I checked it was only 10 inches, but that was around 11, and its been snowing, so def. not as much as you wisconsiners, but enough to get us out of school :) we have over 2 feet at the end of our driveway though, ugg
