Hi! This is my first post!

I was hoping I could get some help trying to find out what color my hedgie is! The breeder just alluded that he was a snowflake, but there are a ton and I can't figure it out! He's 8 and a half weeks old and is a little grumpy right now as he is quilling.

Here's Monty!

I would say Chocolate Snowflake

I don't know, he looks almost too white to be a chocolate snowflake, but it could just be the lighting in the picture. Either way, he's a handsome little guy.

What do you mean by too white? If he had all white quills he'd be a Chocolate White. But he's got too many solid quills to be anytype of white. He's definately a snowflake.

I would say either a chocolate snowflake (chocolate chip) or a gray snowflake. His mask is quite dark for a chocolate.

He'es not anywhere near white enough for a white. Whites only have a couple of banded quills. :)

Thanks for all the good responses! I'm sure monty loves the attention!

As for the color, that's the same problem i'm going through! i'm not quite sure if he's gray or a chocolate chip, especially because the mask is dark, but the nose is a little lighter...

monty fell asleep in his tube...

Here's another pic to see his quills i guess, you can see he's starting to grow new quils towards his rump...this was about a week ago, the first time he had rolled into a ball since I had him. He's normally been very good at handling, but i guess his sensitive back makes him not like to be picked up...

and of course, the "i am hedgehog, hear me roar" picture...this was when I was trying to litter train him...he now has vellux lining as bedding and sleeps in a vellux hedgiebag...

Since there's no yet determinable color, how about we call him a gracolate? or a chocoray?

i guess we'll find out after he completely quills...don't they say it takes about a year to finally determine a hedgie's color?

In the ball picture his skin looks to be really dark gray, darker than it would be if he was a chocolate but his nose does look brown rather than black.
He'es a hard one to figure out but he'es adorable either way. :hearts:
