As spring approaches, I've been thinking about letting Koosh play out outside once the warm weather starts to set in (supervised, of course..and in his playpen so that he can't run away). My first question would be, how would I go about doing that safely? Is he allowed to walk on the grass, or should I put a blanket down? Also, if he for some reason catches a bug and eats it while outside, does that warrant a vet visit (he's used to canned insects)?
My second question has to do with toys. While Koosh has a lot of space to run around during the night, as well as a large running wheel, paper towel rolls (he loves those!), and small dolls (which he pretty much ignores), I sometimes worry that this isn't enough to occupy him. I wonder if you all could give me some ideas as to what other toys hedgies seem to enjoy. Thanks everyone!
