Hi,
I thought I would finally introduce myself and my chinchilla, Floyd. I belive he is a heter beige, one parent was a beige and the other a standard gray. I have acutally been reading on here since Dec. it's just taken me a while to introduce myself. :shy:
Well, I'm a new chinchilla owner, and Floyd (born 9/05) is my first. He came to live with me on Dec. 6, 2005 and was a College graduation present from my Fiancé. I've been lucky in that Floyd has been a wonderful chin, except when he does thnks that all chins do, aka chew everything he's not suppose to. Within a week of having him I was able to carry him a around with no prob. and he would climb all over me and sit for a few second on my head or shoulder. There have even been some instances were he will follow me around, almost like a dog.
Cute story:
On firday night I don't get much sleep do to the times that I work, so on Saturday's I have a tendency to take a short nap. Anyways, there was a Saturday a few weeks ago that I had let Floyd run around in my bedroom and after about 1/2 hour I was getting super sleepy and decided to take a nap, but of course he did n't want to stop playing and would not let me catch him. So after trying for a while I made a double check of anything he could get into and laid on the bed to rest for a few. Just a couple minutes later, Floyd decide to try and jump on the bed, but cound't make it. So I got a small lanudry basket and turned it upside down. A couple of minutes later he jump up on the bed, checked me out and then went back to playing. He would come up and check on me every few minutes. Needless to say I really didn't sleep, but I just thought it was so cute. :love2:
Enjoy some pictures.
The fist one is from when Dec. after he was put back into his cage and the next ones are from last night after he got his new chew toy, which is one that he actaully likes (he's picky), thanks Rivendell. You'll have to excuse some of the paper on the floor they got knocked off the desk and he started chewing his new toy before I could put them away.
