I haven't got a pedigree for the 2 boys im getting.
But they are standard greys 2,3 years old.Im getting them from a person who cant have them in his apt.

Im paying 250 for lixie sophie with cage and accessories. And the grey boys are free,I dont plan on breeding.

Ok let me tell you..I went on a shopping spree :P

I bought 1 large thing of kilin dried pine.
and a bag of carefresh.

I bought 2 wheels-leo braun ones they were like 60 dollars each.

I ordered 10 pounds of mazuri pellets.

Bought grapevine, pumice stone, pear and apple wood.

made 2 hammoks ,bought 2

A friend of mine made me 3 cute little pine chinnie houses.

Hmm 2 dust houses, blue cloud dust

3 water buddies

hayfeeders

clip on dishes

And I made alot of treats

They are comming home on the 16 of April. Thanks

It seems like you've thought of everything so far. Best of luck with your chinnies. Post photos of them when you get a chance. :)

Sounds great! One thing I dont see listed is hay. You will need some grass hay for them :)

Congrats on your new babies!! This must be such an exciting time for you!!

Just be sure nothing is plastic. If the dust houses are then watch them very very good when using them.

You might want to add a water filter unless you plan on using bottled water.

There was just a death from a chin getting stuck in a hay rack so you may want to rethink having one of them.

one note of caution.. When your girls get old enough to go into heat watch the boys very carefully. They may start to fight if they can smell the girls heat cycles.

What kinds of treats did you make? what do they have in them? And remember only a few treats a week. Will you be able to use them up before they go bad? lol You said you made lots of them..lol

I made treats with the grape vine and pummice and apple and pear branches.

I also forgot to say that the boys are in a large cage its about 7 feet high. And the females are in separte cages. They would be fine to live together also she said.

So I guess I shouldn't use the hay racks?

I use hay boxes, made from pine :) Sort of like a small house tipped up to hold hay lol

Maybe just a different hay container. There are some great hay boxes made from pine. I use clay flower pots. You have options. Just be careful of the wire hay racks.
