Fiona, one of my little girls, hasn't eaten very much in the past week She's maybe had 10 - 15 kibbles the last two nights combined. I weigh my guys daily, and there hasn't been a drop, and she still seems to be pooping. The only change that has been made was her being seperated from her cagemate two and a half weeks ago. Do you think she is maybe just going though some form of seperation anxiety and not wanting to eat, or should I maybe schedule a vet visit?

I know hedgehogs will go on food strikes for about 3 days for some reasons. She's probably just adjusting to being separated from her cagemate. But she's still pooping and maintaining her weight, so there may not be a whole lot the vet could do. But I'm not totally sure.

I do find that sometimes my girl will go through periods of time when the weather is changing and she doesn't eat as much, especially the transition from summer to winter and vice versa. When fall and winter hits, she starts to eat more. In the spring and summer, her food intake drops a bit. You can try hand feeding her kibbles - I do this with my girl, and it keeps her food intake up. Just be careful of your fingers. :)
