Has anyone else watched this? It comes on Tuesday nights at 9:00 on Discovery (I think...!). I can't imagine doing this job, though the paycheck seems to be nice - if you live to see it.

I watch it sometimes if I catch it on, and it's just insane! One of the episodes I watched, one of the guys got caught on the line and got thrown off the boat! Luckily they were able to rescue him, and got him back inside safely and he survived. And he got to rest for the rest of the day recovering, but the next day he was right back out there helping the rest of the crew. Definately crazy and extremely dangerous work.

My husband and I love that show! Never miss an episode if possible.
My husband wouldn't mind trying it for a season either. He likes the scary jobs like that.

There was one last season where one of the guys stepped in a hole and broke his leg or ankle and continued to work. I think there were only 4 guys on the boat, including him, and if he couldn't work they were going to have to head back home. I think one of them was saying that they have made up to $35,000.00 each for just one month's work. :eek:

The rescues are heart wrenching.. no way I'd be caught on one of those boats.. the pay might be out of this world.. but my life is worth more to me... I thought I'd seen them all.. I didn't realize it was now on weekly.... My ex step son wanted to go up there and try his luck at it.

Did you guys see the one where the rookie almost got tossed over? He had a rope get caught around his back and tighten up but luckily he spun around quick enough to toss it overboard! Scary stuff.

joye, they started season two last week.. just as good as last season, just fewer boats..
i had thought the show was going to be over forever since they changed how the fishing is done.. but oh boy when i saw the first preview that it was coming back on?? you'da thought i'd just won the lottery...:rofl: when i find a show i love, i don't miss it for nothing... the DVR'S are my new best buds... hehe

oh goodness!! i LOVE this show! i watched the 1st season religiously. the rookie that almost got thrown over, the boat that sank, goodness gracious, but the money is AWESOME! i have been so busy lately, i havent been able to catch much of the 2nd season.
