Someone started a similar thread on the chinnie side and it is so interesting, I thought we should do the same here for the hedgies.

Soooo-- what is your hedgie's name and why did you name it that? Multiple answers for multiple hedgies allowed, and well as names saved up for future use!

Mine's name is Monty!

When I went to the breeders, he was the only one that was comfortable being held, and he pooped on me (it was sort of runny.) I had some bowel problems as well, and we decided to name him Diarrhea, then thought of Montezuma's Revenge, and then Monty for short.

Every morning Monty's wheel looks like he had a case of Montezuma's Revenge too, so the name is perfectly fitting!

Bosco- Named after the character Bosco (Boscorelli) from the TV show Third Watch. I had the name picked out before I even saw my man :)

Murdoc- was originally going to be called Fudge because it rhymed with pudge (he was, and still is, pudgy). Apparently my boyfriend thought Fudge was a wussy name- and it didnt seem to suit him much so I went with Murdoc, named after Murdoc from the group the Gorillaz.

Herb- Herb was given to me. I kept him name because he seems to kind of know it (when he wants to) ;)

(1.) beatrice(standard female) - means she who brings joy and the bringer of happiness = she is the best mother of any hedgies so doesnt mind me checking up on babies and is usually happy to see me.
(2.) guinevere (albino male) - means white phantom = he looks evil with his red eyes and his ghostly white quils
(3.) brutus(standard male) - he is just a very big boned hedgie a big brute
(4.) bertha (standard female) - she is just a big girl and thought the name just fit her

Hotaru means firefly in Japanese. I thought this fit her because her pinto markings were mostly on her butt. :)

Marigold- is greek and it means a flower(so original eh!) :p but I chose it because she is as beautiful as a flower! And actually I had her for about a week and a half before she actually got a name- I was just calling her Baby girl for the first little while, because I couldn't think of a name for her-- but one morning I just woke up and was like-- "Marigold, It's Perfect!" (out loud BTW) and Chris Kind of looked at me like I was nuts!--- But it fits her so well because she is such a pretty lil' hog!(although I may be a bit bias!)

here is a new pic of Marigold from the other day!!
