Abbie got really into self-anointing last night and she twisted so much she fell over a few times. I've seen her lose her balance a bit while anointing before but never topple over before. Should I be worried about her falling over or is it normal?

lol, i think it's normal, and QUITE the sight! Monty was annointing like crazy when I gave him CSFTCLS the first time, falling over in his cage, it was hilarious!...just enjoy the moment!

Yes it's very common and if they are sitting on you I hope you realize that you are supposed to put your hand behind them so they don't fall over. At least that is what mine expect.
Here's some of my gang annointing. Snow is laying on her back annoiting after tasting baby Kei. :)

lol... I'm glad it's nothing to worry about! They sure look funny when they do it :). I'll just sit back and enjoy the show next time  .

Not a problem. Just sit back, relax, and try not to pee your pants!

We see it a lot, particularly with young hedgehogs getting excited about tasting something new.
