It isn't that bad. I have Purina One Healthy Weight Management in my mix and my hedgie loves it and I've never had a problem with it. It's not the best thing out there, but I feel it is rather decent. It definitely won't hurt your hedgie, anyhow.

I've currently got a mix of Spikes Delight, CSFTCLS, Select Diet and Purina One Natural Blends...I'm wondering how it'll go down...

Not horrible, but not great. It has corn as the second ingredient, and then by-products.

I wouldn't feed it, but then again, I wouldn't feed any Purina products.

Chicken, corn gluten meal, poultry by-product meal, oat meal, brown rice, whole grain wheat, animal fat preserved with mixed-tocopherols (form of Vitamin E), wheat gluten, whole grain corn,

Corn in red. Two entries. Which could mean more corn than meat.
Fillers underlined. SIX fillers. Way more filler than anything else in the food.
Wheat in blue. TWO wheats. Another significant allergy causing ingredient.

Poultry by product meal. That means once all the edible meat is removed, everything left over is ground up into a meal. Legs, feathers, bones, beaks, craw, stomach, intestines. No muscle meat. No organ meats. Nothing usable.

Animal fat. Oh, that's SUCH a great ingredient. Animal fat. Comes from a rendering plant. Every dead animal they pick up is rendered down. This is road kill, dead farm animals, dead unclaimed pets. Rendered down and the fat is sold to pet food producers for "animal fat". Not a snowball's chance in a warm place that I'd ever feed this.

Like I said, it isn't fabulous, but it would be a better choice to feed if you were short on money and couldn't afford the fancy stuff, since not everyone can. I have some Purina One in my mix and I really don't have a problem with it. It's usually the first thing Hotaru eats- when she's home with me and gets to eat it, that is. I definitely prefer it over the Science Diet she gets here at school.

I use a mixture of the Purina ONE Natural Blends and Wellness Light, with some Chicken Soup. I wouldn't feed it alone, but it is a decent additive.

hi, everyone,
I have owned hedgehogs in the past. They're cute little guys. A bit prickly though.
Right now I have rats. 5 of them. 1 from the Humane Society.

Just wanted to say that Purina, or any food advertised on tv is not good for your pets. If you'd like to check it out for yourself, just type in What's Really In Pet Foods. You would not believe what's in them.
There are however really good foods on the market now. Such as Chicken Soup, Natural Balance, Solid Gold, Innova, Eagle Pack, Maxim, Canidae, Performatrin, Flint River and more.
Hope this helps.
bye for now.
