We all know how fussy Hemi is when it comes to treats...

Last night, I was eating goldfish crackers and I dropped one. I wasn't able to find it, so I just left it. I figured our puppy would find it and deal with it. Well, as Hemi was playing on the floor, I heard this "sniff sniff sniff crunch!"

Turned out Hemi found it first.

All that was left was the tail.

RIP little goldfish cracker...

LOL, we also discovered she enjoys vanilla pudding in small amounts. That's how I got her to take her medicine the other day. I coated the treat that I injected the meds into with some vanilla pudding and she just gobbled the laced treat up. lol.

Sounds like Hemi has a gian sweet tooth... like the pudding and the orange smoothies. I guess that goldfish crackers are a new development :P

lol, she does like sweet things, but I limit them. Usually, she gets a bit of an orange smoothy once every 2 months, and vanilla pudding... last week was the first time. Her treats usually consist of a bit of apple or cottage cheese, since she's afraid of bugs.

I now have pet "mealies" since the girls won't touch them. I have been feeding them (the mealies) for 5 wks now. I'm starting to grow attached (ugh!)

hahah, I bought 10 when I first got Hemi. I put a live one in her cage about 3 days after I got her - Hemi ran away and tried to climb the side of her cage. Day 5, I tried again. Same reaction. I killed the mealie. Hemi hissed at it and ran away. Day 7, I tried with a live one again, Hemi curled into a ball. I moved the mealie closer to her with a chopstick (because I'm not touching it!) Hemi hissed, and ran to the other side of her cage and tried to climb out.

I sent the remaining mealworms with my dad when he went fishing.

3 months later, I tried again. No change in reaction.

LOL.
