:hello3: EVERYBODY!
Newbie to CnQs as well as Newbie to the world of chinchillas! :bump:
I bought two babies when they were just born in the middle of March. I was just going to get one, but after the breeder placed 10 babies (all only 1 week old at the time) on the table and let them all run around in my arms, I decided why not, let's get another! Hehe.
I read some books on chinchillas and found that each book describes their habits very differently  and I had no clue which book is "right," so I found CnQs and read like every thread under the "New Chin Owner Questions" forum. So helpful! And I love reading about everybody's personal stories / experiences with their chins!
I believe I'll be picking up my babies in two days! So excited, my cage (Mansion from Qualitycage) is all set up with toys and wheel and everything!
Thanks for all the great threads so far, I look forward to getting to know all of you!

welcome and thank goodness you found this forum... there are zillions of books out there, most of which are inaccurate, skip pertinent info... your best bet is to read, learn, and ask questions of very knowledgeable owners, and breeders..

I GOT MY CHINCHILLAS! OMG so excited, I just spent like 4 hours sitting next to it, skipped dinner because I couldn't stop looking at them... I am trying SOOOO hard not to to take it out and play with it because I know you are supposed to leave it alone for like a week. Must... restrain... self.... GAHH!!!! :tantrum:
Okay, I am a bit hyper right now as you can probably tell, but I am sure everybody here remembers when you first brought your first chinchillas home It's love at first sight!!! :itslove:
I took like two dozen photos :) I attached the ones that showed them the best... I am not sure how to use this whole photo resizing software yet so sorry if the quality isn't very good. I'll figure it out soon.
Zero is ebony mosaic.
Ninja is homo. ebony
Thanks for the warm welcome everybody. They sure give you something to look forward to each day!!!

Yup, I haven't seen any potential problems so far, no chewing on the plastic bowl, and they both ate and drank regularly. :) Last night I took my blanket to the couch (which is right next to the cage) and slept next to the cage, just can't leave them... I am forcing myself out to shop now so they get some time by themselves, hehe.
