When we got Mikey I put a toilet paper roll (cut) and cat ball in his cage. He completely ignored these items. While at Wal-Mart I was in the baby dept looking for little keys for him since I read on the message board that some hedgies like keys. I picked some of those up and then I saw...Mr. Hippo! Mr. Hippo is not a huge toy, he's a teething toy for babies. He (actually a she since it's wearing a tu-tu, but we are calling it a "he" for Mikey), has hard plastic flippers, he is made out of purple fabric, and he chimes when he moves.
Mikey adores him! He naws on the flippers, tosses him around, pounces on him. I think I'll head back down to Wal-Mart and buy more. I'm so happy I found something he likes. He seems to think he's a baby. :hearts:

Haha that's hilarious!! Glad you found a toy your hedgie likes....still looking for one mine likes...he just likes hiding under things and climbing on me all the time. He'll tunnel under blankets, towels, just about anything. Anyways...glad you found something fun for yours to play with :)

I didn't see the cow around here. I bet he would like the cow too.
He hasn't lost interest yet in Mr. Hippo. We woke up this morning to see Mr. Hippo in the hedgiebag with Mikey. :)
I think I better go and buy the rest of them or else I'll have one depressed hedgie when Mr. Hippo wears out.

Well, here is a picture. I know you said you found it, but in case anyone else is interested in the Hippo. I'm sorry it's a little blurry, but I couldn't hold it any further away.
