Who has a recipe that will give me the tasty soft buttery oatmeal raisin cookies I want? LOL

hmmm...
give me the yummy, soft, chinchilla's can't do w/o chinchilla cookie recipe first..;) :rofl:
heat oven to 375
2/3 cup granulated sugar
2/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup softened butter
1/2 cup shortening - if you don't want to use this ing.. you can use a cup of butter instead of the 1/2..
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 large eggs
beat all these ingredients together in a large bowl..
stir in the following:
3 cups quick cooking or old fashioned oats
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup raisins
drop dough onto ungreased cookie sheet
bake 9-11 minutes or until light brown
makes about 3 dozen

Wow..just...wow. Not a good recipe to look at when you're starving! :winkgrin:

:lol: then its a good thing you're not looking over the recipe one we did at xmas... hehe
i swear, just reading over the recipes made me gain 10 lbs..
virginia, did ya try it out?? stead of sending more chinnie cookies, you could always pack me up a few of them above... hehe
