Noises during potty

Does anyone elses hedgie make noises when they go to the bathroom? I remember my little Blizz would sometimes let out a squeak or 2 when she went. I have these rescues now, and the boy is so vocal. You can tell when he is going pee, because he'll start making these squeaking/grunting noises.

I have a male that stared making noises when urinating, and it turned out that he had a unrinary tract infection. I took him to the vet when he started to do it. But if your hedgie has always made noises while going poo, it may be nothing. I just thought my hedgie sounded distressed...maybe since I have had him so long I can tell the difference between a happy squeek and a painful squeek. :laugh:

I agree with the posibility of a UTI. When Kenya had hers she'd huff when peeing.

When I take him to the vet the next time, would it have to be detected using a urine sample, or can they tell what it is there? I should record the noises he makes the next time he does it, just gotta look for a tape recorder.
