I'm Lycia and from New Zealand. I joined up some time ago and never actually got around to posting lol. I have 9 chins - more soon to be added and basically haven't thought about breeding, but am looking into it now as a few have had all their x-rays and thorough vet checks and all clear - but above all else they are pets and will be treated that way :) I have have a range of other pets and love em all to bits :)

Hi Lycia. :welcome8: to Chins - n - Quills! Make sure you ask a bunch of questions and readings before you get into the breeding aspects of chins. They're a lot of fun as pets first! :)

Oh - I intend to - I've owned them for just over 2 years now and have done a lot of research and contacted some really reputatable breeders over here to learn from them - hence the xrays and full vet exams, I know which ones I can breed and ones I can't for personality and temperment. Have even started the only chin club in NZ about them. But with any critter - always more to learn and learning from others and I'm certainly no expert. Whether they breed or not - I don't care - each has their own wee personality and they are pets - if they breed - it's only once a year and done responsibly. Knowing me - I'll only let them do it once anyway lol.
