Chinchilla Hiccups??

Hi i was playing with my chin today, and i noticed him kind of hiccuping? he kind of hiccuped like 4 times.. i wasnt sure what to do, so i gave him a piece of oat and then he stopped. Can they get hiccups? or was it something else?

I'm assuming they can. For awhile my girl would hiccup when she ate pellets too fast.
