i just had him put to sleep to end his suffering and i miss him so much. my boy was only a year old and his stomach had sealed off (flipped) to the point where the gas couldn't be released. he was in such pain and i couldn't bear it any longer. i hope that smoke will be ok now that he's alone and i just wish my boy was here with me. goodbye meiko.

I lost my beloved horse of 28 years to the same thing. It is SOOOO difficult. But if they have a tortion (twisting of the intestines) there really isn't anything you can do. Trust me, I know it is hard. This happened to me 13 yrs ago and there isn't a day I don't think about it! You did the right thing!

P.S. I would get your other chinnie a new friend ASAP. When Furby passed in Jan, I didn't think that Mogwai was THAT affected - but on the advice of the vet, I got another buddy ASAP and he is such a blessing! Mogwai is even closer to Gromit than he ever was to Furby! They are truly best buds!. PS - only the late Furby came from a breeder (I only had him 8 wks), the other two are "petstore" - and happy and very very healthy, so don't blame yourself for that!

awe im sorry that happened. It's okay though. Your baby is in a better place, and its raisin heaven! He can have all the raisins he wants and run and jump and play! he'll be waiting for you up there :)
