Sofie, my baby passed away on Sat. 5/6/06 from a rectal prolaspse- we tried to repair it surgically but the last centimeter of bowel was dead.
Cheena passed away on Tuesday morning, 5/9/06 as her stomach ruptured while in the hospital being treated for what we thought was GI Stasis..... Her intestines tied into a knot by her stomach..... There was no way of knowing what was going on without exploratory surgery.....
Maria passes away yesterday 5/10/06....the necropsy revealed she had multi-organ failure and a hemmoraging lung....the oragn failure was from an untreated infection she had prior to living with me......
I did all that I could...... They all presented with GI Stasis, but as we know know that was the underlying issue.........
The vet said that these are rare things that happened and that we did all we could.....
