I'm pulling this from another (teen) forum I belong to. A 14 year old kid is getting rid of a 6 month old female hedgehog that he's had since January, because he doesn't have time. He posted:

6 month old
female
wheel
food
small cage
sleeping/ caring bad
some wood chips
castle thing
great pet, fun to have

100 obo
anytakers?

There's what she looks like.

And, he "believes" she's been to the vet.

Is there anyone that might be willing to help her out? I would, but I've been forbidden to bring home another. I don't want to post this in rescue, because I don't think it's a dire situation, and I'm not selling her myself. I'm just asking if someone could maybe help her out.

I think this is another one your boyfriend 'needs'. ;)

Courtney, send me the contact info. I have a couple of friends in Alberta, one is a breeder and just want to give her a heads up incase it is one of hers... doubtful though.

The boyfriend already considered bringing her home, but he decided it wouldn't be fair to either Vette or this new little girl. One fits into his life nicely and two might be too much for him.

I'll grab the contact info from the kid. He's not impressed with me though, since I gave him a hard time about selling her since "he needs money".

Oh yes. I gave him the runaround about her housing, the fact that he changed his story midway, and then a couple of my animal activist friends stepped in. One girl (who rescued the little hedgie that my boyfriend now has) also found the thread and ripped into him.

So... he's not impressed. The kid, who is 14, even brought out personal insults. ahah.

So do I. If I knew my parents wouldn't kill me, I'd give the kid $100 and bring that girl home. My boyfriend has already resigned himself to the fact that we'll have upwards of 10 hedgehogs, most of which will be "rescues" such as that little girl. lol.
