my chin eats his poos!!!

is it because he is hungry??? or he is just stressed out? :O

Totally normal. All chins eat poo. Gross, but normal. :)

chinchillas should be freefed 24/7... so the *is he just hungry* should not even be an issue..:)
they get certain nutrients from there fresh poo's, gross to us but it's a fact.. they do and will munch on the poo's from time to time..
try and not be too alarmed.. hehe

I freaked out too when I 1st saw them do this.

I will see them puff up then bend down and come up chewing!!!!! Talk about fresh!!!!

lol yes it's gross... my roommate makes fun of them when they do it...my newborns have started nibbling on everything, including their poo.

It's called caprophagy and it's normal. Rabbits do it as well as a number of other animals.
