This is probably going to sound like a personal ad lol:

Single 32 year old male, living in Temecula Southern CA. Don't have a Chinchilla yet, but would like to have a companion. Got the cage and all the accessories. Looking for one, I like the brown and whites (look kidn of siamese) or velvet. But also like standards too, so not too picky on color.

I'm new as of April too. Welcome. As a new chin owner and owner of 10 animals, can I suggest getting either two bonded males or two females? My two brothers are so funny together. They just graduated to running around the living room instead of in their playpen and I love watching them play. They chase the cats all around and do the funniest things.

You can get all your questions answered here and also meet some awesome pet lovers. Good luck.:ring:

lol sketch... i just caught that *you* part in there...
hi and welcome matt.. there are ALOT of members here that live in the CA area.. no doubt if you post that you're looking, (for a chin that is) someone will have or know someone who has chins available..
you will make an abundance of new friends here, and maybe (who knows) find a companion who shares your love for animals to go along with the chin..;)

Thank you for the welcome and advice! Trierd posting a wanted ad, but to no avail, said I had no permission to do so. Oh well.

So two are better than one?

You need to be a member for 30 days and have at least 50 posts, I BELIEVE, I forget though cause it's been a while... before you can post in the wanted/classifieds, etc. If you get two that are all ready bonded, it's easier and you generally won't have many problems with them. Chinchillas like to live in groups in the wild, so two are good to have together. They always have each other to rely on. It's not BAD having only one, he'll survive fine! :) Good luck on your searching!

Welcome to Chins-n-Quills!! If you see a chinchilla you are interested in or want more info on you can PM (Personal Message) the seller. You don't need to have a certain number of posts to do that :) . Good luck finding a furry friend!

:hello: Hi Matt! I can tell you 2 are better than 1 and 3 are better than 2 hahaha but an only chin will be fine provided you give him or her attention. All mine are caged seperately but when the 2 boys lived together I think they did like having company or at least one liked using the other as a pillow; now they are mortal enemies (girl got in the way  ) Sometimes when I'm cleaning I think how much faster it went with only one chinchilla.
