Hi All,
Didnt realise how attached you get to your chins until today. He as had ill health now for couple of weeks and left him at the vets last night i knew he wasnt coming back.Im missing him already and sat crying writing this message.Didnt have a choice he had an imparction which is a blockage in his stomach they said if they operated that there would be a chance that he would die anyway. So not to be selfish i think i did the right thing but it doesnt feel like that.I cant stop crying and was even sick.I feel like ive had my heart wrenched out.I got him last Feb for Mothers Day an early present. He was beautiful i will miss him soooo much.

i'm sorry for your loss, sounds like you did all you could, hang in there, and try to remember all the good times you had together.

I know how you feel. I get teary just thinking about your loss. My 15 year old cat had to be euthanized a while back. He was very healthy otherwise but had developed epilepsy as a senior and had viciously attacked my toddler son. I didn't realize how I would react until they gave him the shot and I saw the life ebb out of him. I couldn't stop crying. I had trouble driving home. My very empathetic vet wrote me a sympathy letter a few days later which really helped with the pain.
You do get attached to them -- they are your children!
Just think of all the love and joy you shared and one day, you will find another chin that will remind you of your beloved loss.
I'm glad you used the forum to write your feelings. What better way to share than with fellow pet lovers.:flowers:

I'm so sorry. I know when I almost lost Shadowfax, I felt like my world was over. But he's in a better place now and not in any pain or discomfort. *hug* I hope you feel better. Butty will always be alive in your heart.
