Ok, so we've changed a few settings, and yes, some of you will have issues. Please bear with us as there are still a few individuals who have the wrong settings. If you think you have issues, please PM me (galtinel) with your problems. Do not waste a new thread about this, as it will be deleted. Only PMs will be addressed at this time.

We may find that we need to shut down one more time and will try hard to do it "overnight" so that we can impact the fewest people.

All of us behind the scenes thank you for your patience for the last 36+ hours.

Why do it overnight? Admin need to sleep too! I don't know about everyone else, but the last 36 hours haven't been that difficult with CnQ being offline. If the forum needs to be shut down for a time again, no sense in doing it overnight. :)

While I agree with you Hemi, I think that it is to prevent many people from getting mad and upset about it. I can see why they are choosing to do it over night if necessary, but I do agree with you. The Admin do need to sleep too, and they need to take care of their board, at whatever cost. If people can't understand that it needs to be closed for maintanence to make the board BETTER, well then, thats their loss. All I can say, is thank you. A million times. There may be glitches here and there that need to be fixed, but I'm sure the board will be better in the end. Thank you.

Since the Private messages we are allowed to keep has been cut, is there anyway to delete more than one page of messages at a time? I need to send some PM's, and can't, but I don't have all day to sit here and hand delete that many, lol.

Since I can't send pm's either, is there a block on chat? I cannot get in.

Chat may take a little longer to fix the permissions. As for PMs, I'll go rest it back to 1000.

Remember guys....sometimes things get changed and we don't mean for them to. If you have a question about something that may have not meant to been changed (and we didn't mean to do many changes to the settings that most of the users have), please ask.

That's really interesting as I didn't touch any other setting besides "how many PMs" you can keep. And 1000 is really a whole lot.

I'll look into the rest of the settings. But after I get some more sleep. I really don't want to make a mistake and have all 3-thousand of you yelling at me. I'm a volunteer.
