New Chin lover

Hi Everyone!!

I have two wonderful baby boy Chins, that my husband and son got me for Mother's day. I think it was really sweet of them to get them for me, but now I am feeling really overwhelmed. I want the best for my two little guys, and I feel like I just don't know enough about them. So I am READING, READING, AND READING some more.

My two little guys are Benny and Calvin.

I am not totally new to chins, my grand-parents had over 2,000 chins...they were...ummm...in the fur business.. :cry: It broke my little heart when I was a little girl, and I have always wanted to have a couple as pets. Hence the reason my husband bought them for me for mothers day.

Right now, I am working on getting them off the HORRIABLE LM food they were being fed...so far, they pick through the food and throw out the few pellets of Mazuri I put in with the other food. But I'm sure they will get used to it.

I am really glad I found all of you, so I can provide the BEST for my two new boys.

what a wonderful gift, congrats on your little boys, sounds like you have been busy reading, good luck with that, this is a great place to ask questions and to get good information.

Wow...that's sad, about your grandparents I mean. I probably would've set up some sort of plan to emancipate all 2,000 chinchillas...probably would've even hid them in my bedroom if at all possible ^-^

But...viva la chinnies...you have two of your very own, which means that you probably saved two from becoming fur coats or something of that horrid nature. :high5:

Welcome! Don't feel overwhelmed! You don't have to know everything at once. There are many very experienced chinnie owners and breeders here to answer any questions you have, and search will be your best friend for a while.

and yes, we all like to see pictures!

Welcome! Wow what a GREAT present! My mother is scared of anything with fur so that rules chins out! Hehe. When I become a mother I'll definitely hint to my kids that I want more chins! ;)

CnQ is great, people are so helpful and any questions you have just post them up and all these knowledgeable people answer them very quickly. I love this forum!
