Favorite treats??

Just curious what all your hedgies favorite treats are??? My Rosie isn't big on treats yet so I want to find something she will like. So if you could let me know what your little guys and gals like that would be great! Thanks! :bananadance:

Well, Hemi isn't big on treats, but she has a few she goes absolutely crazy for. Her current big favorite is a crushed up shreddie, moistened with just a tad of milk, and some sugar. I usually just take a shreddie from my bowl when I have them, and give her one. She always wants more, but she only gets the one.

She also really loves fried lean ground hamburger, and bits of apple. On the odd occasion, she gets a bit of an orange smoothie. I also give her a Temptations cat treat every so often, which she loves.

Cottage cheese is up there too, but will be passed over in exchange for the shreddies I talked about earlier. LOL.

Mack has only started on Crickets. He seems to like them.

I tried giving him bananas, apples and tuna but he wouldn't eat any of those. This morning I took him out and gave him a quick look over and let him wander. I heard a licking noise and I looked over and he was eating a left over apple jack from my little sisters breakfast! He seemed to like it.

Maybe because Mack is still young. Hold old is Rosie?

Razzle loves meat. Hamburger, steak, turkey, chicken. If it's meat, he'll eat.

Crickets are never ignored either. And mealworms...those are a rare but very welcome treat!!

I've only had Lucy for 3 weeks, but I've tried banana-she turned up her nose at that and I tried moist cat food-turned up her nose at that too.

So then I tried a mealworm, really thinking that she wouldn't give it the time of day-SLURP! She loves those!!!

My gang loves most types of melon (watermelon, cantaloupe and honeydew). Lately they've been really loving scrambled eggs and chicken breast is always a hit!

Ok i bet you are stuck with mealworms now so here is a recipe that got my girl to LOVE THEM!!

Ingredients:
3 mealworms
1 egg

Directions:
Put the mealworms in a bowl crack the egg and blend zap in the microave 30 seconds at a time till egg is cooked and you got Scrambled egg w/ mealworm

I'm kind of glad Hemi is terrified of insects... lol. I tried to give her mealworms on many separate occasions. Each time, she ran away, hissed, or rolled into a ball. And since I'm deathly afraid of crickets... she doesn't get those. LOL, although, I'm sure I'll get in trouble for that remark.

Hermione loves mealworms and dried or live crickets. She doesn´t like much canned bugs, maybe because they smell so different (I don´t like the smell either). I would love to try to give her freeze- dried bugs, but I believe we do not have those here in Finland. Do your pets like freeze- dried bugs?
