Hi My name is Victoria! I am new here. I am also new to the world of chinchillas. I really want one but I want to know any and everything I can before I buy. I have started buyiong things for my future baby chin room. I want everything set up and perfect. I live in a small town calle Brunswick GA. I m about 45 minutes from Jax, Florida. I am 23 and own a small tile installation company with my fiance. I have found alot of great info on here already. I wanted to join here since I would rather buy my baby from a breeder rather than the pet store in town. They told me that they only live about 5-7 yeas and they cold not tell me the ages. Im not an expert but I know that isnt right! Im glad to find others that I can learn from. Any babies for sale or good sites to buy from let me know. I am willing to travel to pick one up I rather not ship unless I have to!

Hello and :welcome6: to CnQ!!! Glad you joined! :rofl: 5-7 years........yeah right!! They live to around 18 to 20 years so if you want a pet for a really long time than a chinchilla is a perfact pet. lol

Welcome! Check out the classifieds section or www.mutationchinchillas.com or www.empresschinchilla.com The last two are organizations that breeders can join and they both have a listing of breeders by state. I know there are several people from Florida who are members here and maybe a few from Georgia too.

Indeed there is a plethora of information w/in the forums. In addition to the forums, plenty of people have wonderful websites. I am working one now.
