yo peeps~ i'm Molly and i'm 18 years old i love to shop and i have 2 dogs priee dog, 2 chins, 3 hedgies, 1 farret, 1 rabbit. i'm going to breed my chins as soon as they stop fighting so i can have little baby kits!!! They are the cutest little thingys. does anyone know wat to feed a hedgie? i have three but don't know wat to feed them, so i gave them rabbit food and there eating it like alot!!! so i guess i'll just keep them on it so i can spend my money on shopping! :hyper: well if u want to know anything about me just send me a message. ttyl

Hi Molly! There's lots of great info on here-be sure to read up on breeding before you let your chins be together, unfortunately bad things can happen so you should be prepared and know what to do if it does. I don't have a hedgie so I don't know what they eat but I bet there's lots of posts about food in the hedgie section or maybe even a FAQ that would say what they eat.

Rabbit food is definently NOT suitable for hedgies. They are eating it only because they are hungry and have nothing else to eat. Youd eat dog food if you were hungry enough.

A high quality Cat food is what your hedgies should be given. PM me if youd like and I can send you a write up on what your hedgehogs SHOULD be given.

I'm sorry, are you really in Australia? Last I heard that not only were there NO hedgehogs in Australia, but there were definately no Prairie Dogs.

You obviously have Internet access. I'd be surprised if you're really feeding a hedgehog rabbit food and couldn't find the information about feeding anywhere.

And hoping your chins stop fighting so you can breed? Did you check out the forum just to post about ALL the hot buttons?

LOL Id say welcome aboard BUT I am not sure I would mean that..From the comments you made and the signature you created make breeders of chins like me furious..having kits is not a reason to breed..and having no money is not good for anyone with that many animals..
