Hey everybody! Just thought I'd let you all know that our move to Bismarck from Fargo was successful. Kahlua sat in the passenger seat and looked at me for the first hour of the drive, then finally settled down and slept. Herbie slept the whole way, except for the nasty he did that stunk up the whole car! :Pukey: Herbie and Kahlua are happy in their new home, with lots more room and a big yard to play in! :hyper: Herbie already had his first outing the other day. He did pretty well and didn't trun green like mommy and daddy thought he would. He was actually pretty scared at first. He ran to Alan's feet and wanted to be picked up. The grass was pretty long and kept ticking his tummy, so he was high stepping (it was so cute!!!). I took pics...I will get them on asap!

Here are a few pics of Herbie playing outside. For some odd reason he parted his mohawk the whole time....it looked pretty silly.

Oops I posted the same pic. I'll get the other one up. Now why would it work today and not yesterday? :dunno: Oh well.

I always want to stick my finger in when Wolfgang parts his mohawk, but then he scrunches his face up and looks at me like, "What are you doing?"

I'm sure Herbie will have lots of fun once he gets over being tickled by the grass. I'm glad he didn't get stained. :)

haha, he's so cute. When Hemi goes outside, she parts her mohawk too, as she motors through the grass. She seems to kind of enjoy having it rubbed though. She might just be weird...

I'm so glad to hear that moving to a new location didn't stress out Herbie and Kahlua too much. (Poor Herbie, hope he didn't suffer too long in the car...)

Herbie is so cute! I understand that he "sings" to Kahlua too. How romantic is that???

Does anyone know why they part their mohawk when they are outside? Is is a defense thing or do they feel vulnerable in a new place?

Yes Hedgiemate Herbie does sing to Kahlua, it is pretty cute. He isn't allowed near her too much cause she doesn't want anything to do with him and I don't want him to get frustrated. I love babies, but I know that Kahlua wouldn't be a good mother and I don't know too much about her background and would never breed them. But even if he smells her or if we use a blanket she had been on he will call out to her.....Eeeeeep! He is such a little Romeo :hearts:
