what are buddies?

On the forum it says admins ect and than it says buddies?what are they like admins or what?

Buddies are friendly chin/hedgie experienced people who are available to answer questions. They try to greet all new members and let them know they are around. Sometimes you'll see them in chat as well. Their names are in italics. Actually Amanda is looking for buddy volunteers in one of the forums *TAF searches for post* Urg, it's there somewhere...
