New member & soon new chin

Hi, I'm new around here. Live in Mass. I have been reading C&Q for a couple of weeks now. I am going to be getting my first chinchilla in about 3 wks. It's a male violet. He was born May 20th. Can't wait to meet him in person. So any advice you can pass on that would be great. I have email pictures. As soon as I can figure out how to put them on I will. My kids like the name Furby; I like the name Chilly myself. Just have to see him in person first. I am getting him from a breeder in ME. Also, I have a choc. lab., beagle mix, cat, guinea pig, a husband and three kids.

Wow! Got your hands full there...and I like the name Chilly also, my chin is named Chimmie aka (Chillz) & (Chilly) (everything in my house gets a nick or two :welcome6:
